Match Rules

1. General Rules

  1. This competition accepts up to 8 teams. Matches follow LeLe Baseball rules, not standard baseball rules.
  2. Each team must have 9 official players and may register up to 2 substitute players.

2. Batting & Base Running Rules

[All matches use batting tee equipment]

  1. Official matches consist of 3 innings. Each inning proceeds with batters No.1–9 completing one full round of batting; there is no 3-out limit.
  2. The starting 9 players may bat a second time; the batting order may not be changed.
  3. Bunting or illegal batting is prohibited; violations result in one strike.
  4. Balls that do not travel beyond the 5-meter line are considered foul balls and count as one strike.
  5. After two strikes, a swing-and-miss or foul ball results in a strikeout.
  6. Throwing the bat does not result in an out, but the player receives a warning; repeated offenses require substitution.
  7. Offensive players must step on the orange safety base, while defensive players step on the white base.
  8. Sliding is prohibited; sliding results in an automatic out.
  9. Runners must stay on the base and may not leave early or steal. They may only leave once the batter hits the ball.
  10. Once a runner steps past the 5-meter “no-return line”, they must continue forward unless the next base is occupied.
  11. When the last batter of an inning is put out (equivalent to the “third out”), the ball becomes dead and play stops.
  12. If the final out is a force out, the runner at third base does not score and is considered left on base.
  13. At the beginning of the next inning, runners left on base must return to their positions.

3. Defense Rules

  1. Defensive players No.1–9 take the field. Substitution must use registered substitute players.
  2. The pitcher must defend from beyond 9 meters and is not required to stand on a pitching plate.
  3. Before the batter swings, all defensive players may not advance past the pitcher’s line.
  4. Tagging runners is not allowed; only force-outs by stepping on the base are valid.
  5. When infielders return the ball to home plate or the catcher, all runners must return to their bases and advance only on the next batter’s hit.
  6. Each team is allowed two time-outs, each lasting 2 minutes.

4. On-Base & Outs

  1. Three strikes result in an out, including the third strike being a foul ball (including dead infield balls).
  2. If the defense overthrows past the field boundary, all runners advance one base.
  3. If a fly ball is caught, the batter is out and the ball becomes dead. All runners must return to their original bases and may not advance until the next hit.

5. Determining the Winner

  1. Matches consist of 3 innings; the team with more runs wins.
  2. If, after 2 innings, the score difference is 10 or more, the game ends early.
  3. If both teams have the same score:
    (1) The ratio of total runs scored ÷ (total runs scored + total runs allowed); the team with the higher ratio ranks higher,
    (2) The team with the higher total runs scored,
    (3) The team with the lower total runs allowed,
    (4) Lottery.

6. Special Rules for Fursuit Players

  1. Fursuit players without an animal head do not count as full-suit fursuiters.
  2. The runs batted in and runs scored personally by a fursuit performer are counted as double.
  3. If a fursuit player becomes physically unwell, they may be substituted.
  4. If replaced by a human player → scoring returns to normal.
  5. If replaced by another fursuiter → double-point rule continues.
  6. If a fursuit player crouches and raises both hands, the referee must call an immediate time-out and the player must exit the field. A substitute player must enter.
  7. Before each match, referees will check and confirm eligibility under fursuit-specific rules.

  3. Teams must check in within the designated time. Late check-in will be treated as forfeiture.
